We decided to have a day off, so spent (well Tuna spent,
let’s have no illusions here) the morning updating Facepage and this most
wonderful blog which has reached acclaim from around the globe (well some bloke
in Alaska looked at it once apparently). It’s about 30 and steamy here, having
had a few drop of rain on a hot hot city. The Albatross gave the apartment the
once over and did chores because it was getting a tad funky. By the way if you
want to see the love palace,
At about 12:00 we went for a stroll north to have a look
through the leafy green suburbs of northern BsAs. Stopped for a coffee and then
lunch (lunch is not before 13:30, whilst dinner is only remotely acceptable at
21:00, 23:00 is far more acceptable, 01:00 is for the cool kids). We ended up
in Belgrano which the lonely planet had said good things about. Up to its usual
standard it was nothing special (I think we’re getting too old for LPs ), but
it was a nice leafy suburb. Tuna made some mates in the park on the only
hill in the city.

We strolled around some dead rich gezza’s ex-pad chockers
with old art facing onto a square with church in it. Sorry we were hot, sticky
and hadn’t meant to walk nearly so far, so were a tad jaded.

Thankfully the subway back was close, so we bailed and came
home about 16:00. A quick dash to the shops, whacked the aircon on and life is
good again. I like having power, last night the power to the suburb was on
about 18:30, but the bloke in charge of our building didn’t stagger home from
the pub till 2am to flick the switch, yeah thanks.
I should also say that Argentinian Rose is pretty damn
decent too. As I said earlier, the Argentinian wine is just fab (and normally
organic for the hippies out there, the wine growing regions are so high up that
pesticides aren’t needed).
We’re buggered, lucky we have left over Paella in the
freezer. We’re saving ourselves for the big BsAs finale tomorrow night, when we
aim to eat a cow, two chickens and a very small pig.
