As the weather seems to be rather pleasant and sunny in London, we decided to don the shorts, t-shirt and hat and have a picnic in Kew Gardens which is walking distance.
A stop at the supermarket and we got all in the ingredients needed for a picnic: pheasant pate, smoked salmon, Moroccan Humus, kalamata olives, salmon caviar, fresh bread, quiche and a salad. However young master James decided it was nap time, so we had first course at home inside with a lovely bottle of champagne. We then decide that we could be bothered walking down the road to Kew Gardens so we took some of our food across the road to the Green and watched a bit of cricket and semi naked poms sit in the sun and go pink.
Mid afternoon, it was time for a wander around the corner to the cheese shop. A shop dedicated only to good, fresh cheese.
A light dinner and it was time to watch the final of Eurovision. Who was going to win this year?! Sweden. They shouldn’t have, they weren’t that good. The UK ended up second bottom, only out scoring Norway by one point.
