What shall we do on a Friday. Let’s do High Tea at the Ritz with Hamish and Sue! So after borrowing something decent to wear (didn’t think they’d let me in with my stripy pants from Peru and a t-shirt). Silver service all the way, we had lots of sandwiches without crusts, yes there were cucumber ones too, scones with jam and cream and some small cakes. Oh, of course tea and champagne. Rather exceptional and filling!
Next stop was to Burrberry’s. I bought a coat! I must go back to work to pay for it!
We decided to try a couple of the old pubs in London. First was the Cittie of Yorke, apparently London’s oldest pub selling beer made at Yorkshire’s oldest brewery.
Next was Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, also apparently London’s oldest pub. Didn’t sell any cheese.
